Garden pumice is a natural volcanic rock. They are characterized by high porosity (about 85% of its mass more properly), thanks to which it is perfect as a component of the orchid soil.
Absorbs a lot of water and at the same time provides the necessary access of air to the roots. It has a neutral pH. Pumice doesn’t lose its properties.
Growing in pumice is sterile, which guarantees healthier plants free from fungal infections and rot.
Garden pumice is also an ideal substrate for hydroponic cultivation.
